Rachel joined Nucleus in 2022 as Manager of Marketing and Communications, where she develops creative and innovative social marketing strategies to help share our Nucleus mission with the world: make a difference with each of you, engage and unleash the pathfinders in the communities we care for, and inspire next generation leaders.
Rachel is just that: a NexGen leader, who brings years of experience within the artist, athlete, and advocate spheres to our team. A recent graduate of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, Rachel revitalized the Sports Business Society by creating The Locker Room podcast in 2020, an expository narrative that explores the intricacies of professional athletes and sports businesses off the pitch. She also co-founded the successful Maryland Sports Business Conference to create a networking and relationship-strengthening vehicle that connects University of Maryland students with sports executives and their organizations.
Rachel’s impact to the sports, art and media communities did not stop there. While stuck at home during quarantine, Rachel inspired and united Gen-Z and Millennials by launching a three-day philanthropic virtual music festival, designed to help spread positivity during challenging times while getting colleges around the nation involved. All profits were donated to Makin Lemonade Fund, a nonprofit that empowers Gen-Z to maximize their full potential while raising money for Covid relief. She also has experience working for a full-service talent representation and brand consulting agency, and also a sports media company that provides athletes with a platform to connect with their fans.
Of the five key characteristics that help define Nucleus’ culture – depth, direction, connection, curiosity and withness™– Rachel most embodies connection. Her new-media savviness coupled with her authentic, pointed communication competencies enables her to create deep and meaningful connections within our Nucleus ecosystem and beyond.
A New Jersey native, Rachel currently lives in Hoboken, just across the water from our new Nucleus HQ. In her free time, she enjoys exploring her new neighborhood, walking through the various parks, and finding the best restaurants.
