Isabel joined Nucleus Advisors in November 2021. She supports our clients and her teammates as Director of Nucleus’ Client Service. Prior to joining Nucleus, Isabel applied wisdom and knowledge gained from her three college degrees and more than 10 years in banking and insurance to coaching and counseling at-risk families and teens—as a registered mental health counselor working for non-profit health care organizations serving to Florida communities (Miami-Dade and Broward County).
Isabel was born in Bogota, Colombia where she earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Politecnico Grancolombiano. In the early stages of her professional career, Isabel discovered her life mission—to champion and support individuals as they seek to overcome the barriers that impede their progress toward life-changing goals. Isabel’s vision of working with others led her to Miami in 2010 to continue to advance her education. She studied English as a Second Language at Miami Dade and then began her second undergrad degree, a B.S. in Psychology, at Florida International University—where she graduated summa cum lade and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. Following that, Isabel earned her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Florida International University where she developed skills in psychotherapy.
Isabel is passionate about coaching others for success, deepening skills in interpersonal relationships, and creating preeminent small group environments. In fact, Isabel’s favorite kind of environment contains a wonderful mixture of cultures and creatures—which also describes her home life! Isabel lives in Florida, where she has an apartment in South Beach and a home in Parkland, and loves early morning walks on the beach and sharing tacos and BBQ with her Texan husband, 17 year-old Colombian foster-daughter and Ricky and Tommy, her almost identical black and white spotted toy French poodles (Ricky is the one with the white tail).
